I decided that Since I have basically abandoned the old blog that maybe a new name and look would give me the motivation to blog again. I miss documenting my kiddos and their daily achievements and activities. I realized after months of not blogging that when I would blog...even the little things we did everyday seemed fun and much more memorable...so I am going to give it a shot one more time and see if I can't update this thing a bit more often.
Life here is good...the slow pace of a small town is hard to adjust to...I don't know if I can explain it...but it wears on me sometimes. I wonder how people who have lived here their entire lives do it. There is also a lot to love about small town living...I am just still kinda working on what all of that is!
Allie is in first grade and LOVES school...she is reading like a champ and is at the top of her class...so her teacher tells me. She will tell you that she does not like to read...but that she LOVES to read!! I am so grateful for her teacher this year who is full of love for my Allison and has continued to build on Als natural love for learning. Allie is also started in on this whole independent phase...keeps things very interesting around the house! She is about to start her third season of soccer! She loves it and has a great attitude about it!
Kaitlin is just so funny and full of life and energy. She keeps me and everyone around her on their toes. I am thankful that she is number two so that I have an extra set of eyes to help me keep track of her! Her one true love is our german shepherd Storm who lights up Kaitlins world! Kaitlin lovingly calls her tormy and cries and cries when we have to come in from outside. Kaitlin also has a deep love for all things messy and muddy...she loves to explore and could care less what kind of mess she makes of herself or the world around her! This is new to me...Allison has always hated being sticky or dirty and has strived for cleanliness in her day to day activities...not so with my Kates! She is also developing a love for climbing and climbing fast! She will be on the ground one second and on top of the table the second. I literally just had to stop typing because she had crawled under my bed to get a ball and couldn't get back out! We have so much fun with her and her adventurous spirit!
Steve is working hard and continues to love his job! We are very blessed for the opportunity for him to be working with such great people! He learns a lot from the doctors that he is working with and they are happy to have him there as well. He is also adjunct teaching for Texas Tech in March and is working hard on getting his lessons ready and I think he is really excited about that opportunity!
I am good...I am very involved with the PTO at Allie's school and find the work very rewarding! I am currently putting together a 5k and a fun run for a fundraiser for the school! It should be fun! I am keeping busy with my busy family and fall more in love them everyday!
Here's hoping that I keep up with this thing and that the updates come often!
